Roger de La Fresnaye on canvas, poster, wallpaper and ArtFrame by Peter Balan

Roger de La Fresnaye (1885–1925) was a French painter known for his role in the Cubism movement. He integrated geometric forms and simplified volumes into his works, often using vibrant colors and a subtle, almost lyrical quality. One of his most famous paintings is "The Conquest" (1913), which showcases a characteristic balance between Cubist and traditional stylistic elements. La Fresnaye was also a member of the Section d'Or, a group that further developed Cubist aesthetics. His work was interrupted by World War I and his health issues, leading to a premature end to his artistic career.
