What can I buy at Art Heroes?
At Art Heroes you’ll find a vast collection of affordable wall art; more original than IKEA, but without the pretension of a gallery. We work with more than 10,000 artists who offer more than 500,000 works (and counting). Every piece ordered is made to measure by us according to your own specifications, with the artist directly receiving a commission. This way we support creativity together and help our artists to keep creating.
What sizes and materials are the artworks available in?
Every work is custom-made, which is what makes us unique! We show the sizes in proportion to the works i.e. if you stipulate a particular height then the length of the work will change automatically so that the work remains in proportion. If your favourite size is not listed, this does not mean that we cannot make it. Send us an email with your wishes, and we’ll coordinate with the artist. We will then e-mail you a suitable proposal. For the materials wallpaper and ArtFrame, much larger images are possible, these materials are often chosen for wall-filling formats. The shape and size of the wall are leading here. We will be happy to show you a cut-out of the size that suits your wall.
Can I try out a work in my home to see if it fits?
As each work is custom made for you, we do not keep any stock. In order to give you a good impression of the end result, we have developed a handy app, so that you can see how a piece will look on your wall. Choose your artwork, take a picture of your wall and see what works. Read more about our app here.
Can I also order a photo in sepia, black/white or a different colouring?
Yes, just send us an email including the work’s reference number and your wishes to info@artheroes.com.
Can I also order a photo in sections or in different proportions?
Yes, just send us an e-mail with the work code to info@artheroes.com.
What is the pricing policy on your website?
Pricing is standard, except where the customer has a discount voucher.
How is the final price determined?
The prices are mainly decided by the artist itself. The artist can choose to adjust their own margin, making some works cheaper and some more expensive.

It is important to us that your favourite work completely matches your style and interior. Therefore, we offer all works in a range of materials: canvas, wallpaper, ArtFrame and photo prints.

What print quality can I expect?
There are many suppliers of art prints. We position ourselves in terms of quality rather than price. A beautiful artwork deserves that little bit extra, so we work with partners for whom quality is paramount. They use the best equipment to produce the most beautiful works. Do I have to assemble my order myself?
This depends on the material chosen. Canvas come ready to hang. For ArtFrame there is some (minimal) assembly. Fortunately, with the instructions you will receive by e-mail, this couldn’t be easier!
I have ordered, but would like to change something, what now?
Then contact us without delay and let us know what you would like to change. That shouldn’t be a problem. Please don’t wait too long, because once a order has gone into production, we unfortunately cannot make further changes.
What are the delivery times?
At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.
We will deliver it for free! We will pack your artwork with great care. Of course, we'll let you know when the work will be delivered. Shipping is free and will be sent 10 working days after ordering. In a hurry? Get in touch, and we'll see what we can do for you.
How can I pay for my order?
We offer several reliable and secure payment methods. You can choose between iDEAL, Klarna, bank transfer, credit card, PayPal or Apple Pay.
Would you like to pay afterwards? Choose Klarna or 'bank transfer' during checkout. Klarna allows you to pay in full after delivery. With 'bank transfer', you pay 25% in advance via your own bank. We then proceed with the production of your order and you pay the other amount no later than 14 days after delivery of your order.
Companies can choose to order via invoice.
How do I redeem my Art Heroes gift card?
In the last step of the ordering process, where you are asked to pay for your order, you can redeem your gift card. The amount will be automatically deducted from the outstanding payment. Do you still need to pay a portion? Then you can pay with iDEAL or one of the other payment methods.
Do you have an amount remaining on the card? You can easily shop again later by redeeming the code again via the link.
A gift card can only be redeemed for a product from Art Heroes.

Shipping rates are calculated in the checkout based on your cart contains and the shipping country you select.
Delivery to Switzerland: prices quoted exclude VAT and import duties for deliveries to Switzerland.
How will the package be sent?
We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.
Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.
A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.
Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.
Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
I am not home when the parcel is delivered. What happens now?
You can specify a delivery date in advance so that we can schedule the delivery on a more suitable day. Still not at home at the time of delivery? Then the delivery service will try next door or leave a note and an appointment can be made to reschedule. Please contact us if you have any questions.
At what time will my order be delivered?
Deliveries typically take place between 8:00 and 18:00. Once our parcel delivery driver has received all parcels, the final route is determined and you will receive an e-mail the day before with a specific delivery time, as well as a track & trace to follow your parcel.
Can I have my order delivered on a specific part of the day?
This is often possible in consultation with the carrier. Please contact us and we can discuss the options.
Can the carrier call me half an hour before delivery?
Unfortunately, we cannot arrange for you to be called before delivery. You will still receive an email from us with the delivery date, an indication of the delivery time and a Track & Trace to follow your parcel.
Can my order be delivered after a specified time?
We have no influence on the carrier's route and delivery times. We can schedule your order at your preferred time, but we cannot guarantee that your order will actually be delivered after a specific time. If you are not at home, the carrier will always try to deliver to your neighbours. If they are not at home either, you will receive a card in your letterbox with which you can schedule a new appointment with the carrier yourself. If you have missed the driver and no note has been left? Let us know and we will deal with this immediately.
Can I ship my order abroad myself?
Of course, you are free to ship your order abroad yourself. Good to know: do not underestimate the cost of sending large parcels abroad. In addition, most materials are quite fragile.
Can I hang the artwork without drilling into my wall?
Typically yes. You can, for example, attach a suspension system to the ceiling. You can easily order a suspension rail from STAS or get one from your local DIY store.

I have a problem, who can I talk to?
Unfortunately, sometimes things can go wrong, for example an order is damaged during transit. Of course, we want to solve any issues to your satisfaction. Please call or e-mail, and let us know what has happened.
You will receive confirmation of the complaint and a substantive response as soon as possible after that (no later than 14 days after submitting the complaint, but almost always the same day).
Art Heroes is a Thuiswinkel organisation member, so you can also submit a formal complaint via the SGC disputes committee. You can also submit your complaint to the Dispute commission via the European ODR Platform.
How is the warranty arranged?
Art Heroes is a Thuiswinkel organisation member, therefore a legal guarantee applies to all orders at Art Heroes (legal guarantee means that a product must do what the consumer can reasonably expect of it).
Can I return my order?
Your order will not go into production until you have communicated your choices and placed the order. It is therefore truly custom-made. For this reason, the right of return is not applicable. Orders cannot therefore be returned. To be sure of your choice, call, email or make an appointment in the online showroom, where the Happy Customer Team can help you choose.

How do I receive a gift card?
You can indicate during ordering whether you want to receive the gift card physically by post, or digitally by e-mail.
How quickly will I receive the gift card?
After we receive your request for the gift card, we will send you a link to pay directly online. We will send digital vouchers by e-mail directly after payment. Physical gift cards will be sent by post.
I need a gift card urgently. Is that possible?
Yes definitely! Give us a call and we will be happy to discuss the options.
Want to gift something, but not sure it will suit the recipient?

When does Art Heroes post reviews?
Art Heroes only posts reviews written by genuine Art Heroes customers. The reviews are placed by customers on the (external) review platform Kiyoh (or TrustedShops) and then posted on their own website. Kiyoh (or TrustedShops) carries out additional validation as to whether the customer is actually a customer who bought a product.
What do you do to check if the review is from a real customer?
We check the order date with the customer's review.
How do you obtain reviews?
After a customer has ordered an artwork, we e-mail them with a link to Kiyoh or TrustedShops. Via these recognised review platforms, the customer can then leave a review. Kiyoh (or TrustedShops) is able to validate whether the customer is actually the customer who bought the product listed in the review. This way, we ensure that we only show reviews that have been posted by Art Heroes customers
How does Art Heroes rank reviews?
Reviews are ranked by date. At the top you will find the latest reviews
What do you do to combat fake reviews?
We check every review manually alongside the order. If a fake review is placed, we remove it immediately.
Do you get paid for your reviews?
No, we only ask our customers for reviews. There is no compensation offered.
