Henriëtte Ronner on canvas, poster, wallpaper and ArtFrame by Peter Balan

Henriëtte Ronner-Knip (1821–1909) was a Dutch painter, best known for her realistic depictions of animals, particularly cats. She grew up in an artistic family and was the daughter of the painter Jozef Ronner. Her works are characterized by highly detailed representations of animals and everyday scenes, often in an intimate, domestic setting. In addition to her animal paintings, she also painted portraits and landscapes. Ronner-Knip was recognized both in the Netherlands and abroad, and was one of the few female artists of her time to have a successful career in Academic painting.
