Konstantin Alexeyevich Korovin on canvas, poster, wallpaper and ArtFrame by Peter Balan

Konstantin Alexeyevich Korovin (1861–1939) was a Russian painter of Impressionism and one of the most important stage designers of his time. He studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture and became known for his colorful, light-filled landscapes, portraits, and scenes of Russian daily life. Korovin also worked closely with the Moscow Art Theatre and various opera houses, where he created innovative stage sets. In the 1920s he emigrated to Paris, where he lived until his death and continued to paint. His works combine Western Impressionist influences with Russian atmosphere and sensuality.
