Henri-Edmond Cross on canvas, poster, wallpaper and ArtFrame by Peter Balan

Henri-Edmond Cross (1856–1910) was a French painter and one of the leading figures of Neo-Impressionism. He is known for his pointillist painting technique, in which he applied small, precise dots of color to the canvas to create optical color mixtures. Cross’ works are often characterized by vibrant colors and harmonious landscapes. He played a crucial role in the development of the pointillist technique and contributed to influencing the style of Post-Impressionism. His work reflects an interest in light and nature, often featuring Mediterranean motifs and an idealized vision of the landscape.
