Giovanni Boldini (1842–1931) was an Italian painter best known for his elegant portraits of high society in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He lived and worked in Paris for many years, where he established himself as a sought-after portrait artist. Boldini’s works are characterized by dynamic brushstrokes, stylized elegance, and a certain theatrical lightness. He was often referred to as the "painter of beautiful women" and is considered a significant representative of the Belle Époque style.
