About the artwork

A vulture from Avifauna.

This picture was taken right through the fencing. In post-processing, I was able to remove the fencing and it looks like a free animal. If only it were. Photographing animals in captivity sometimes feels very double. They should be free, but the fact is that a lot of programmes's in zoos have prevented certain species from becoming extinct. Because unfortunately, animals in the wild are often not even better off. They are hunted for their fur or feathers or to eat. But they also suffer from plastic waste and pollution.

Having said that, I am proud of this picture. It is a beautiful, sharp image. The cool tones do well in a living room with black and grey furnishings. The image is otherwise calm and minimalist. And a little moody. Dark tones with enough contrast to still maintain depth.

A beautiful animal, which we do not know in the wild here in the Netherlands. They seem to occur in southern Europe, as well as in central Asia. A sturdy picture, which I would place near the dining table myself. After all, the vulture is known as a scavenger.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
