I took this photo on a fairly high dune overlooking the Hulshorsterzand. The Hulshorsterzand is a sand drift between Harderwijk and Nunspeet on the Veluwe and named after the village of Hulshorst, the Hulshorsterzand light officially in the municipality of Nunspeet but is often called near Harderwijk. This nature reserve is owned by Natuurmonumenten and is part of the Leuvenum forest. For this photo I used a polarizing filter to make the blue of the sky stand out better and to get more contrast in the clouds, I chose to take the picture through the grass. In the distance you can see pine trees which you see more often on the Veluwe. To get to the location of the photo, I had to walk across the sand drifts and climb the dune.
