I took this photo of a Scottish highlander on the Veluwezoom. I myself was standing in a permanent wildlife observation hut De Elsberg. I had hoped for game myself but again no Scottish highlander coming a bit closer. I was lucky that the Scottish highlander came walking towards me while grazing, which made it relatively easy for me to take this photo. Highland cattle roam freely all year round on the Veluwezoom to graze the area, they are not stabled during the winter months. This Scottish highlander is one of a herd, I chose to take a photo of just one. I don't know how big the herd of Scottish highlanders is. As is often the case with wildlife, I took this photo with a 55-300mm telephoto lens.
