Venice
What images come to mind?
I wanted to experience Venice in a different way than crowded alleys and cruise ships travelling through Venice.
I was looking for the mysterious, quiet and old Venice.
That's why I travelled to Venice in winter.
In winter, the city is often covered in sea fog and it is cold.
As you can see in the picture here.
At first glance, you wouldn't associate it with Venice.
It's more reminiscent of a lost place.
Well, it was taken on the island of Lido, where the film festival takes place in summer.
Countless stars and celebrities have probably strolled across the pier.
At the time of my visit, the pier was in a desolate state. However, the thick sea fog made it very photogenic.
The somewhat gloomy lighting mood is very fitting for the scenery.
The lake mist swallows up the background, so the pier alone is part of the picture.
A long exposure makes the water of the lagoon look like a mirror.
The perspective of the shot visually conveys a view into the depths.
Nature is my passion and I want to share it with other people through my pictures. Whenever possible, I go out into nature with my camera.
