Venice
What images come to mind?
Sunshine and crowded squares and alleys?
I wanted to experience Venice differently than crowded alleys and cruise ships travelling through Venice.
I was looking for the mysterious, quiet and old Venice.
That's why I travelled to Venice in winter.
In winter, the city is often covered in fog and it is cold.
As you can see in this picture.
I took one of the boats to the island of San Giorgio, which is opposite Venice.
The fog simply swallowed up everything, sight and sound.
At the entrance to the marina is the keeper's house, which probably also functions as a lighthouse.
There is nothing else behind it except the white mist. Normally you can see Venice here.
The silence and cold are eerie.
Two sailing boats are moored next to the tower, moving gently in the calm water.
Long exposure makes the water a silky matt and intense blue colour.
Nature is my passion and I want to share it with other people through my pictures. Whenever possible, I go out into nature with my camera.
