The sunlight fell beautifully on this reed leaf, creating a reflection in the water. Colour techniques were used to slightly adjust the image in terms of colour and introduce more coolness. The result is a mystical photo, exuding peace and serenity.
Very suitable for clients, who want to bring nature into their homes, but don't want a standard picture in the house. Also very suitable for the current hotel-chic trend, given the dark and black tones.
Too often we overlook beautiful moments, which nature shares with us. For free and for nothing, we get to experience this every day; the sunlight that lights up a piece of nature, the birds singing, the sun rising or setting, the coolness of the blue hour. We often give it too little thought. Many photographers are looking for unique images and go to the craziest places and corners of the world to do so. Wonderful of course, but you can make unique pictures, just at your ditch in your own neighbourhood. All you have to do is look carefully. Look for light, reflections and details. Then set your settings so that it becomes your unique picture.
I would love dark, mystical photos's. Maybe because I have had many dark moments in my life, but the sun always came back to shine and I have continued to see the beauty in life.

I have my own website, where you can..
