I took this photo of a rhododendron flower on the Staverden estate near Ermelo in the Veluwe where rhododendrons were flowering. Although I used a macro lens, it became more of a close-up, for a macro shot I had to be closer to the flower so only the stamens and pistil could be seen. This rhododendron flower is white instead of lilac which you see more often, it also has a yellow accent to one of the petals. I liked the stamens and pistil in combination with the white flower. In the blurred background, there are more white flowers of the same rhododendron. Even though it was sunny, this flower was shaded by a few trees.
