I took this photo on the Hulshorsterzand near Hulshorst in the municipality of Nunspeet on the Veluwe. I don't know what kind of grass it is but it does hold the drifting sand. I came across this grass when I was doing landscape photography on the Hulshorsterzand, the sand between the grass was already forming small hills. I chose to take this macro photo standing up. You can see the details of the grass and sand in this macro photo, if you look closely you can even see little droplets still attached to the grass. Because I could lean on the ground, I took this photo hand-held, and I had an 85mm macro lens on my camera. I did post-process this photo a bit to make it prettier. I like the depth of focus of this photo for the wall.
