About ‘Waterfall at the Fairy Pools on Skye’ by Richard Nell

Deep in the rugged landscape of the Isle of Skye lie the Fairy Pools, a series of clear streams and waterfalls that wind their way through rocks and mountains. Here, the water flows down in small steps, crystal clear and surrounded by dark stones and soft shades of green. Even in such a popular location, there is a sense of tranquillity and wonder.

I took this photo during a walk through this area, where every turn offers a new view. What particularly struck me was the contrast between the power of the flowing water and the silence of the surrounding landscape. The waterfall remains in motion, while the surroundings seem unchanged. That tension is what makes this place so special.

The atmosphere of this image is fresh, pure and slightly mysterious. It is as if nature is telling its own story here, separate from the rest of the world. Technically, I opted for a calm composition and a longer shutter speed to capture the movement of the water softly and smoothly, without losing the rugged character of the rocks.

In an interior, this work brings a sense of freedom and nature. It fits beautifully in spaces where you want to combine tranquillity with character, and appeals especially to people who love travel, Scotland and unspoilt landscapes.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
