About ‘Wee White House in Glencoe’ by Richard Nell

In the rugged landscape of Glencoe stands the famous Wee White House, a small white cottage that seems almost lost in the vast valley. Surrounded by mountains, grasslands and changing light, it contrasts sharply with the grandeur of Scottish nature. It is precisely this simplicity that makes this place so special.

I took this photo during a tour of the Highlands, at a moment when the light was softly gliding over the landscape and the clouds were hanging low between the mountains. The cottage stood still and unperturbed, as if it had been watching the weather and the seasons pass by for years. I wanted to capture that feeling of timelessness.

The atmosphere of this image is calm, open and a little melancholic. It evokes a feeling of freedom and seclusion, but also of security. A place where you can retreat for a moment, far away from the hustle and bustle and obligations. Technically, the photo was taken with natural light and a calm composition, so that the landscape has space and the cottage clearly remains the centre of attention.

This work brings breathing space to an interior. It fits perfectly into modern, Scandinavian or natural interiors and appeals especially to people who love travel, silence and landscapes with a story.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
