About "Vischpoort in Harderwijk"

About the artwork

The gate in the photo is the Vischpoort in Harderwijk, formerly this gate was called the Lagepoort. This gate stands between the Vischmarkt and the Boulevard of Harderwijk. There also used to be doors hanging in the gate, these doors were once removed. I think the Vischmarkt side of the Vischpoort is the beautiful side of the gate. The Zuiderzee used to lie against the city wall and the gate, in those days you had a long jetty from the gate into the sea to bring fish and other merchandise into the city. The city walls next to this gate is a seawall and was only meant to keep the seawater of the Zuiderzee out of the city, the Zuiderzee on the Veluwe side was too deep to walk through with your armor and too shallow to sail. To the left of the gate you can see some wall houses that used to be built against the city wall. The water pump that you see in the picture was offered by a former mayor, there must have been a pump on the Vischmarkt in the past only it is not this one. I took this picture on a summer evening with a beautiful evening sun.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
