I took this photo on a fairly high dune overlooking the Hulshorsterzand. The Hulshorsterzand is a sand drift between Harderwijk and Nunspeet on the Veluwe and is named after the village of Hulshorst. It is one of the larger sand drifts in the Netherlands, unfortunately you can not put on 1 photo. For this photo I used a polarizing filter to get the contrast of the sky better, I have chosen to take the picture through the grass. I also chose to convert this photo to black and white. In post processing I also adjusted the contrast slightly so that the cloudy sky as the difference between sand and grass becomes more visible. In the distance you can see pine trees which you see more often on the Veluwe. For this picture I like the combination of the Veluwe sand drifts with the Dutch sky. The conversion to black and white gives this picture something timeless.
