About "Standstill under pressure"

About the artwork

The picture shows a series of old pressure gauges installed in an abandoned paper factory in the Black Forest. The close-up in black and white emphasises the rough texture of the metal, the rust and the traces of decades of use. The scales of the pressure gauges stand still - witnesses to a time when machine noise and steaming pipes still set the pace of everyday working life here. The valves underneath are corroded, as if they have not seen any movement for years. This technical detail tells of the region's industrial heritage, which is slowly being reclaimed by nature. The depth of the image, created by the diagonal perspective, lends the scene a certain drama and leads the viewer into the past. Paper production was once an important industry in the Black Forest. Today, the abandoned plant looks like a frozen moment - a memorial to transience and change. The picture invites reflection on the relationship between man, technology and nature and appeals above all to those who are interested in urban exploration and the aesthetics of decay.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
