About the artwork

The black and white photo shows a fascinating close-up of the interior of an abandoned paper factory in the Black Forest. The focus is on several large, weathered handwheels and valves that were once used to control complex pipework and machinery. The ravages of time have left deep marks - rust eats into the metal, paint flakes off and the dust of past decades covers the once gleaming technology like a veil. The silent arrangement of the machines tells of an era when people still worked, sweated and produced here. Today, everything stands still. The scenery appears frozen - a technical monument that offers a fascinating motif not only for engineers but also for photographers. The monochrome image reinforces the atmosphere of transience and emphasises the rough textures in a particularly impressive way. It is a place where history and aesthetics meet in an impressive way - a silent relic of industrial culture in the heart of the Black Forest.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
