About "Lost control in the flow of time"

About the artwork

This photo shows the faded centrepiece of an abandoned paper factory in the Black Forest: a once central control cabinet that has been scarred by the ravages of time. The analogue ammeters, criss-crossed with fine cracks, look back silently to an era when machines rattled here and energy pulsed through the cables. The rotary switches are arranged in rows as if they were still waiting for a command - but their function has long since been silenced. Rust, mould and peeling paint bear witness to decades of neglect. Handwritten notes can still be recognised above some of the dials, barely legible, almost like a secret note from a bygone era. Every square centimetre of this control panel tells a story of industrial boom, decline and reconquest by nature. It is an impressive testimony to the transience of technical civilisation and a fascinating motif for anyone looking for something special in decay. This scenery blurs the boundaries between technology museum and ghostly backdrop - a paradise for urban explorers and fans of photographic lost-place flair.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
