I took this picture of the former island of Shockland. In the foreground you can see the reclaimed polder landscape of the Noordoostpolder. When I took the photo it was towards the end of autumn as you can see by the puddles. Fortunately it was sunny at the time I was there. Schokland used to be an island in the Zuiderzee and during the land reclamation it became part of the mainland. It is now no more than a lump in the landscape. Nowadays Schokland is on the Unesco world heritage list.
