I took this evening photo in Harderwijk, the gate in the photo is the Vischpoort that faces the Dolfinarium. The side from which I took this photo is the Zuiderzee side of the gate, it is now the boulevard. On the other side of this gate you have the fish market, one of the most beautiful squares in Harderwijk. The special thing about this gate is that there is a light house on it that used to warn the ships on the Zuiderzee. The light that shines against the vischpoort is somewhat yellowed because of the colored LED lights that illuminate the gate. This gate is actually built in 3 parts, the gate part, the living part and finally the light house. From this gate a long riser used to go into the former Zuiderzee where traders and fishermen moored.
