I took this photo in the former harbour of the former island of Schokland. The night before I took this photo it had snowed so there was a thin layer of snow, luckily the weather was nice with blue sky when I took this photo. In the foreground you can see a jetty and a little further on you can see the passageway where ships used to go through to enter the harbour. The hole where there is water now was created by the current of the former Zuiderzee, there is now reed in this lake. Nowadays, Schokland is completely light in the Northeast Polder and this harbour no longer has any function, it no more than a monument to the fishing past. This picture consists of 2 photos with different exposures, I also used a polarisation filter to make the sky even bluer.
