This photo was taken in Eidfjord Norway.
Vøringsfossen is a waterfall near the municipality of Eidfjord in the province of Vestland in Norway, on the national tourist road Hardangervidda.
It is one of the highest waterfalls in Europe.
The water makes a perpendicular, free fall of 145 metres at a total height of 182 metres.
Eidfjord is located in the Hardanger district.
The waterfall is close to State Road 7, the main route between Oslo and Bergen, about 300 km from Oslo and about 280 km from Bergen.
The waterfall is fed by the Bjoreia river, which also supplies the Tyssvikjo waterfall.
A not uncommon mistake to make is to mistake Tyssvikjo for Vøringsfossen - Tyssvikjo is small compared to Vøringsfossen, but stands out first.
