This picture was taken in Bleiswijk at the Rottemeren.
The Molenviergang is a mill race consisting of four windmills.
The Molenviergang was built to drain the Tweemanspolder.
Unforgettable is the use at the end of the war in 1945 when the inundated polder was pumped dry in a few weeks of day and night.
The mills are still fully intact and able to grind so that in the event of calamities they can resume their former role.
