This photo was taken in Haarlem.
The Gravestenenbrug, the double drawbridge over the Spaarne, is one of the most beautiful bridges in Haarlem. This bridge was renewed in 1863, with foundations from before the 13th century. The bridge was rebuilt again in 1950, and since then intended for pedestrians and cyclists.
The road surface over the bridge is made of oak, the drawbridge itself is made of steel.
The bridge keeper's house near the bridge dates from 1954.
