On a wooden pole along a meadow sits a buzzard. In his talons he clutches a freshly caught prey. His wings spread half open, not to fly, but to protect. He cloaks.
The posture is taut and thoughtful. The broad wings form a shield that shields the prey from prying eyes. He sits high, visible to all, yet unapproachable.
His head moves slowly from side to side. He shows no hurry, no doubt. Everything about him says: this is mine. His position on the pole reinforces that image; he rules the field like a silent monarch.
The buzzard here is not just a hunter. He is a ruler who decisively and proudly shows that possession is defended not only with strength, but also with conviction.
