Above a brightly coloured flower hangs a hummingbird, so still in the air it seems almost unreal. Its wings vibrate faster than the eye can follow, a hazy glow of movement breaking the silence of the summer garden. With its long tongue, it reaches deep into the flower calyx, poised and elegant, as if it knows exactly where the sweetest drop is hidden.
The sunlight catches the soft hues of its wings: brown, orange and a hint of copper. He looks almost like a miniature hummingbird, but with the nimbleness of a butterfly.
Then, as suddenly as he came, he floats on to the next flower, leaving behind some flashes of colour and a feeling that you have seen something special
