About "Bambuddha 1 - Lotus Heart"

About the artwork

In 2006, I attended a retreat by Zen Buddhist monk Thich Nhat Hanh in Plum Village, France and made an article about it. It was a life-changing experience.

I stayed in the Lower Hamlet where there is a beautiful lotus pond at the foot of the temple. Every morning, I walked around the pond in silence and enjoyed the beautiful flowers. It was only when a monk plucked the spent lotus that I saw how special also the heart of this sacred flower is. The lotus flower represents purity, purity, beauty, inner growth and enlightenment.

'No mud, no lotus' is a famous quote by Thich Nhat Hanh. From the mud, the lotus grows towards the light, like the growth and development of consciousness. Whereas the dark mud represents ignorance and suffering. The blossoming of the lotus symbolises the coming to full understanding of human existence, of our consciousness and Being.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
