During my travels through Asia, I often come across unusual offerings with nature elements. These serene vases are given something dynamic by the curled bamboo.
Bamboo is pliable and evergreen. According to Asian tradition, bamboo gives a lot of practical life wisdom from a connection with nature. It symbolises constancy, recovery, growth, hope and resilience.
I like to zoom in on a detail and then highlight it through composition and little depth of focus. This creates a beautifully graphic and almost abstract image that looks great in almost any interior.
