The picture shows two zebras standing shoulder to shoulder. Their ears are cocked straight up and their eyes are wide open. They have spotted something that demands their full attention: a lion is prowling in the distance.
The zebras stay close together, as if they know that vigilance is stronger in pairs. Their bodies almost form a mirror image, black and white stripes merging into a moving pattern. They seem to give each other courage simply by staying side by side.
The animals are not panicking; they are alert, calculated, ready to fire away if necessary. Their stance tells a story of instinct and cooperation: survival is something you do together, never alone.
