I took this photo in the Leuvenum forest on the Veluwe. To take this picture I hung my camera under my tripod so I can use slower shutter speeds, I even used a flash to get just a little more light. On the flash I placed a small soft box to distribute the flash light over the mushrooms, you can still see a bit of the shadows of the mushrooms on the stump caused by the flash. I chose to keep the background a little darker to make the mushrooms stand out better. The stump that the mushrooms are on is from a beech tree. You can see from the moss that the stump has been on the ground for a while. I do not know which mushrooms are involved, but I found them worthwhile to photograph. When I took this picture it was at the beginning of autumn.
