About ‘freedom inspiration Hadith’ by Olga Talsma

This expressive portrait is inspired by the strength and vulnerability of women who yearn for freedom and visibility. This woman’s face combines gentleness with inner strength. Her gaze seems partly hidden behind layers of memories, emotions and experiences.

The painting is built up from many transparent layers of paint, organic textures, botanical prints and spontaneous lines. The deep reds and earth tones form a powerful contrast with light accents and weathered textures, creating an image that feels both intense and poetic. The longer you look, the more details become visible — as if the story is slowly revealing itself.

During the painting process, I allow feeling and movement to help shape the image. This results in a portrait that not only depicts a woman, but above all evokes a sense of resilience, freedom and humanity.

Within the Woman Life Freedom collection, this work symbolises that women’s stories must continue to be told. Their memories, dreams and struggles must not fade into silence or be forgotten. With this painting, I aim to create a lasting voice, visible in layers, traces and colour, This artwork not only brings atmosphere and depth to an interior, but also carries a story that touches the heart and invites reflection.

Olga Talsma, born and raised on Schiermonnikoog, where she used to ride horses across the beach and dunes, now lives in Drenthe, where nature is a major source of inspiration. She creates powerful portraits of women in which elegance, strength and freedom take centre stage – the very qualities she recognises in the horse as a metaphor.

Originally trained as a graphic designer, Olga chose to devote herself entirely to traditional painting, where she found her own…

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
