About ‘Horse: Spirit of Freedom’ by Olga Talsma

This expressive painting focuses on the pure energy of the horse. With its powerful movement, the animal seems almost to merge with light, colour and wind. The flowing mane and translucent brushstrokes enhance the sense of speed, freedom and natural elegance. The horse moves forward unhindered, symbolising strength, instinct and independence.

The work is built up from many layers of paint, natural materials and subtle details that together form a rich and vibrant surface. Warm copper, gold and rust tones contrast beautifully with the deep blue-green background, causing the horse to seem to glow from the canvas. The loose, intuitive approach results in a dynamic painting full of movement and emotion.

Horses are a major source of inspiration in my work because of their sensitivity, freedom and powerful presence. During the painting process, I am guided by intuition and emotion, allowing each work to develop spontaneously and take on its own character.

This painting brings warmth, energy and character to an interior. A special work of art for lovers of horses, nature and modern expressive art. Thanks to the rich colours and layering, the work continues to fascinate time and again and invites you to discover ever-new details.

Olga Talsma, born and raised on Schiermonnikoog, where she used to ride horses across the beach and dunes, now lives in Drenthe, where nature is a major source of inspiration. She creates powerful portraits of women in which elegance, strength and freedom take centre stage – the very qualities she recognises in the horse as a metaphor.

Originally trained as a graphic designer, Olga chose to devote herself entirely to traditional painting, where she found her own…

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
