While visiting Greece's island of Lesbos, I was struck by the contrasts. Lesvos has remained unchanged for centuries. The people lived like their ancestors according to traditions created by the seasons, religion, culture and what was useful on the island (fish, vegetables, olive trees, animals). War and economic reasons created a refugee crisis that hit the people of this island hard. Almost everything the islanders believed in has changed. The bizarre thing is that the refugees are getting help and the islanders have been completely abandoned. On the other hand, the islanders are very sweet and friendly helpful people.
If you can see the beautiful things in life then it is all around you and also on this island, which is how I found a wonderful place.
In this place, I could not help but be impressed by the beauty of the eye-catching colours. The reflection of sky, clouds and mountains as if transformed by an artist into soft pastel shades in the water. The yellow colour on the shore and in the tree in the foreground provide a fresh contrast. This place radiates beauty and is an oasis of calm, where you can let your mind wander and dream away.
