Walking through beautiful landscapes, interspersed with villages and cities, camera at hand and enjoying everything around you, you come across many beautiful eye-catching things. Especially if you pay attention, let your imagination run free, don't be inhibited in your perception. The accompanying image, too, came about spontaneously on a walk by centring and capturing just a fragment of a whole in such a way that it begins a whole new life, separate from its origin, a life of its own that no longer has any connection to the original whole.
A calm and clean interplay of lines in a tinted palette of brown tones and some colourful accents around it. The slight noise in this picture makes it soft and lovely, pleasant to dream away at. Gives room for imagination and each person's own interpretation. I enjoyed making the print, the search for the right image, the as much as possible perfect cropping with concession to the possibilities without major interventions from Photoshop or the like. In my work, I try to stay as close as possible to the click of the moment, to capture the image as it should be. I hope viewers and any future owners of a print of this work will enjoy it as much as I do, every time it comes back to me I am delighted with the result. All the more so because I myself am familiar with its origins and what became of it.
