About ‘Sunrise in Peru's cordillera blanca’ by Pascal van den Berg
This mountain range contains Peru's highest mountains, Nevado Huascarán being the highest (6768 metres). This photo was shot at sunrise at an altitude of 4600 metres after a hellish 3.5-hour car journey. The plan was to eat breakfast at this point and then start a hike, but it was so cold that breakfast had to be eaten in the car.
