The Grand Hotel Amrâth Kurhaus The Hague, often referred to as the Kurhaus, is a large hotel between Gevers Deynoot Square and the promenade along Scheveningen Beach.
It features more than 250 rooms. In addition, the hotel has a new restaurant: Waves at the Kurhaus and a number of conference rooms.
In 1818 Jacob Pronk founded the Verlengde Badhuisstraat a wooden pavilion with a bathhouse. In 1828, at the initiative of the mayor, a much larger 'Urban Bathhouse' in classicist style, called Grand Hôtel des Bains, was designed by urban architect Zeger Reyers.
