Finally I was able to photograph a mouflon!
This close-up throws the focus especially on the eye of the European mouflon.
Here is some information about this species: Mouflons are also called European wild sheep: They are the wild ancestors of our domestic sheep and belong to the horned family. Mouflons are active during the day and at dusk. Mouflons are mountain animals.
However, animals naturalized here in Central Europe also live in forests, lowlands and low mountain ranges. They live in small herds, which usually consist only of females and the young. The oldest female is always the leader.
Mouflons live up to 15 years, in some cases even up to 18 years.
