About ‘Inner Strength’ by Olga Talsma

In this layered and expressive painting, the woman looks upwards, as if moving towards freedom. Her posture exudes calm, longing and inner strength. The work evokes a sense of openness and connection to something greater — a moment of stillness in which hope and freedom become palpable.

Through the use of transparent layers of paint, natural materials, botanical structures, spontaneous lines and weathered textures, a rich surface full of movement and depth is created. The combination of deep blue tones, earthy colours and soft accents of yellow, pink and green gives the painting a dreamy and almost poetic atmosphere. The longer you look, the more hidden details become visible. During the painting process, I allow emotion, material and nature to come together. The natural imprints and organic forms symbolise growth, change and freedom. As a result, the portrait seems almost to dissolve into its surroundings, as if humanity and nature become one. This artwork brings tranquillity, character and a sense of freedom to an interior. Thanks to its powerful presence and rich layering, the work continues to captivate time and again, appealing to lovers of modern, emotional art with a soulful quality.

Olga Talsma, born and raised on Schiermonnikoog, where she used to ride horses across the beach and dunes, now lives in Drenthe, where nature is a major source of inspiration. She creates powerful portraits of women in which elegance, strength and freedom take centre stage – the very qualities she recognises in the horse as a metaphor.

Originally trained as a graphic designer, Olga chose to devote herself entirely to traditional painting, where she found her own…

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
