This photo shows a detail from an abandoned boiler room, somewhere on the site of a former munitions factory. What immediately struck me was the raw industrial character of this place: the rusty pipes, weathered valves and frayed remains of insulation material form a fascinating interplay of structure, symmetry and decay.
