I took this photo from a small, abandoned office that once overlooked a bustling factory hall. Now only silence remains. The windows are broken, but just because of this, a powerful interplay between shadow, shape and light emerges.
The warm glow of the light entering through the roof contrasts with the sharp, jagged glass. This makes the image simultaneously menacing and... almost artful. The lines of the building's skeleton reflect in the broken surfaces - as if everything converges into one composition.
What I am trying to convey here is the feeling of standing still. As if you were sitting in that little office yourself, looking out on what was once a bustling space, and now remains only as a memory. Everything seems to stand still, but the decay continues inexorably.
This photo brings atmosphere. A bit of mystery, a touch of melancholy and above all: visual power. Perfect for interiors that love contrast, bygone eras and images that linger.
