Laag-Keppel watermill is a corn mill in Laag-Keppel. There has been a water mill in the village since the 14th century. The current mill was built in the 19th century and operated until 1945. From that year, an electric motor powered the grinding gear. In 1968, a plan was made to restore the mill, which, due to canalisation of the Oude IJssel river, did not have sufficient decline to grind on water power, to its original operation. For this purpose, the Follega mill, a spinning head mill, was brought from Friesland to Laag-Keppel. The small spider-head mill lowers the water level in the mill pit by 1.5 metres. This solution works, but the capacity of this small spider-head mill is insufficient for the water mill to function optimally.

My autonomous work consists of reportage, travel photography, nature..
