Large Waterfall in Park Sonsbeek in Arnhem, the Netherlands.
This image was taken on 4 January 2024. In winter, there does seem to be extra much water coming from this height. Together with a longer exposure time and the right filter, the flow of the water has been emphasised and contrasts nicely with the surroundings on this gloomy day.
Park Sonsbeek which is near Arnhem railway station is a special place where there is a lot to see and experience. A lot of nature with woods and water features, a deer park, the water museum, several restaurants and, last but not least, the Bellevédère watchtower that offers great views over Arnhem, the Rhine valley and the Veluwe. The park also features art and installations and regularly hosts musical performances and other events.
I started photography when I was fifteen, back in the days of rolls of film and darkrooms. Professionally, I like to photograph for companies, people working on something and also just customised photo shoots or just portraits.
