About ‘First light in the Rofental valley’ by Marcel Hechler

It was still early in the morning when I climbed up into the Rofental valley during my holiday in Vent. I had wanted to see the sunrise, but it was pure luck that the sun rose right in the hollow between two peaks. The moment it crept over the ridge, the light scattered into a delicate star and spread its warmth across the whole valley.

In the foreground lies a mountain meadow just as I love them — grasses backlit, a few late blossoms, stones scattered in between. Further down, a narrow stream winds its way through the dark coniferous forests. If you look closely, you’ll spot the remote Rofenhof just below the sun, tiny in this vast landscape.

This morning brought me a deep sense of calm. I wanted to capture this stillness, in which only the light moves — the feeling that a day full of possibilities is just beginning.

In a room, the picture radiates precisely this tranquillity. It fits perfectly in a living room or bedroom where one wishes to unwind, and harmonises with natural, warm and simple furnishings that leave room for a mountain atmosphere.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
