A potato field was not harvested in the summer or fall. The plants have died and the tubers have frozen over the winter. The stalks have died, withered and woven together while collapsing to the ground. Like a carefully made net, it covers the soil like a warm blanket. In the background powerful oaks and beeches with thin branches pointing to the sky. Threatening clouds give the sky a Dutch look as seen in old paintings. With a little imagination you can see the many interwoven potato stalks as snakes, beautiful but also frightening and dangerous.

Due to poor weather conditions and low price of potatoes, this field was not harvested in the fall.
It makes for a stunning photo that is unique. Such a spectacle does not occur often.
