When you think of holidays by the sea, beautiful walks directly on the beach immediately spring to mind.
You can hear the sound of the waves on the beach and taste the salty sea air.
Preferably barefoot in the soft sand and lapped by the shallow water.
And so I was out and about on the beach at Sankt Peter Ording in the evening. It was low tide and the water was still standing in small pools and puddles in places. Soft sedimentary rock now protruding from the sand gave the landscape its contours. And then the sun slowly set in the golden light of the firmament. With the light cloud cover, it was a scenario that could not have been more beautiful.
I have to admit, I had never experienced a more beautiful light on the coast. Wherever I had travelled up to that point.
A few people were walking along the beach at a distance, while seagulls swam in the shallow water of the pools. I think this enlivens the picture and is not a disturbing element. The slightly longer exposure time also creates a motion blur.
The setting light of the sun with the reflections and the colours make the picture a real eye-catcher.
