"The Virus" as the title says, is not a virus per se, but a macro photograph of the seed head of a cowslip. The moment I saw the picture on the screen, my first thought was that it looked like a depiction of a virus.
Especially in times of the corona epidemic, this was of course obvious.
It's just nice to be able to go out into the garden and look for interesting objects to photograph. Whether it's insects, flowers or other details.
I saw the inflorescence of the pasque flower and thought to myself at that moment that it could make a good picture. I got as close as the lens would allow. I work without flash so I can achieve certain effects with manual settings. The natural light was favourable and so I photographed from different angles, which worked best.
The nice thing about macro photography is that this shooting technique creates an abstract impression.
