About the artwork

The rough-legged buzzard (Buteo lagopus) is a majestic bird of prey that visits the Netherlands from the north during the winter months. It gets its name from the distinctive feathering that extends all the way to its legs, giving it a tough and robust appearance. This bird is also a lot tougher than its namesake the buzzard. This bird is mostly found in open landscapes such as meadows, polders and moorlands, where it finds mice, small birds and sometimes carrion as food. With its light brown and white mottled plumage and sharp, yellow eyes, it is an impressive sight. The rough-legged buzzard is distinguished from the common buzzard by its lighter colouring, a black belly band and a distinctive white rump. I encountered it in one of the bird's winter quarters, Its graceful flight and ability to hover still above a point (pray), make it a fascinating object for birdwatchers and photographers.
The rough-legged buzzard is not just any bird; he is a master of the cold landscape, and it was an honour to share his presence.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
